Wikipedia defines a Bed & Breakfast as this: "A bed and breakfast is a small lodging establishment that offers overnight accommodation and breakfast. Bed and breakfasts are often private family homes and typically have between four and eleven rooms, with six being the average."
We live here. This is our home we share with our kids, our pets, as well as our guests. We also have other jobs outside from running the B&B. We only have 4 guest rooms. We don't have separate front desk clerks, chefs, housekeeping, room service, or valets. It's just us!
We plan and prepare personally for every guest. We shop, clean and juggle to try to welcome and accommodate our guests needs. We strive make your stay as personal, relaxing, and enjoyable as possible, and are available to help with questions about the local activities and events, serving as a local concierge of sorts.
We do ask that guests communicate much more closely with us in regards to dietary needs, allergies, late/early arrivals/departures, etc. as well as understand and respect our guidelines, boundaries and hours of operation.
The Wade Suite is an upper level room that faces the western sunsets, overlooking our koi pond, deck and gardens. Decorated in gold and burgundy hues, it is a classy, comfortable space, with windows facing 3 directions. It has a Queen bed, dresser, electric fireplace, window A/C, ceiling fan, 39" TV and small closet. It has an adjacent (not adjoining), private bathroom with tub/shower combo, sink and toilet.
The Simonton Suite is an upper level room on the Southeast corner of the house. It has views of the boulevard and our fruit trees, as well as the sunrise. It is decorated in a more feminine style, in floral pinks and greens. It has a queen sized bed, armoire, ceiling fan, window A/C, 2 chairs, 40" TV as well as a large 60" round clawfoot soaking tub and shower in the room. The powder room is adjoining the room.
This west-facing main floor suite is our flagship suite. With lots of privacy, but easy access to the parlor, front porch and dining room, it is a dream come true. It comes with a king sized Mansion Bed with luxury linens atop a memory foam mattress, an antique down and feather filled daybed in the bay window for snuggling, reading, or watching your 49" TV, a 71" hammered copper double slipper tub for 2 with a shower option, a gas fireplace with comfy chairs and an expandable table for in-room dining. This suite has an adjoining powder room. This is the only suite where breakfast is available for in-suite service. This is the only room able to accomodate service animals.
Note: If using the daybed for a 3rd guest in this suite, it is best for those under 5'1", as it is a shorter antique daybed.
The upper level suites also have the option for an add-on room, for those guests who may be traveling with more than 2 in their group, perfect for older children, girlfriend's weekend, grandma, etc. The add-on room is adjacent to the Simonton Suite on the upper level, and contains a twin sized daybed, with a roll-out twin trundle, TV and small closet. It is available for an additional fee, and cannot be rented individually, as it does not have bathroom facilities on it's own. It would share those facilities with the main "parent" suite.
